## Overview


Starting with release 5.0.0, MinIO is no longer bundled with the `fossa-core` Helm chart and is instead treated as an external storage backend. On-premises customers currently relying on the bundled MinIO deployment need to decouple it from fossa-core and migrate to either SeaweedFS or an S3-compatible storage provider.

This change follows the deprecation of MinIO on December 3, 2025, after which it no longer receives new features or security updates.
