Teams
The fundamental structure of FOSSA begins with the Organization, a singular entity where all your projects can be housed. For larger entities like Enterprises, it's advisable to utilize Teams within the Organization. Put simply, a Team is a subset of an Organization. An Organization can host multiple teams, offering scalability and flexibility.
Teams provide a flexible way to group projects within FOSSA, allowing you to organize them under different team umbrellas rather than clustering them all within a single Organization. With Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and predefined user roles (Team Viewer/Editor/Admin), you can precisely tailor permissions for users involved in specific teams.
A key thing to consider is when using teams is that each team's projects adhere to their own licensing and security policies. Also Teams in turn can have multiple release groups, if needed.
